Day of the Dead on Olvera St.
Day of the Dead on Olvera Street
In 2006, the acclaimed photographer traveled to Los Angeles and visited historic Olvera Street - the oldest street in El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula - and photographed the displays and festivities of Dia de los Muertos - the Day of the Dead. Stunning and moody Black & White photographs, shot with a combination of professional and toy cameras, place the viewer at the heart of the sacred event. Short written essays give the uninitiated some background on the history and the present of the festival. The Soft Cover Edition contains 55 photographs and is rated G - for the whole family. The Hard Cover Edition contains an additional 8 photographs and should be considered R rated as it contains nudity. Click On The Appropriate Cover Image to Order!
